In an era where most music is nothing but a series of zeros and ones on some overpriced digital device, there is something nostalgic and rebellious about listening to your favorite tunes on vinyl.
When a true audio enthusiast takes a record out of its protective sheath and lays it on the turntable, there is anticipation of that first note hitting the speakers once the needle is placed ever so gently on the rim.
Record are bulky, obviously heavier than non-tangible formats and sound grainy at times, but many people wouldn't trade that for all the high-definition clarity in the world.
